Checkmate

O U T F I T
Tank: Asos, Jumper: Pull and Bear, Jacket: Miss Selfridge, Skort, Necklace, Bag & Heels: Zara.

Today marked my first day back to College after a whole year off and it feels so good to be back. When I first found out I had to take some time off I really thought it was the worst thing that could possibly happen, but now it feels like it was the best thing! I'm so eager to get started again and can't wait to give my final year everything.

Along with being a full-time student, I will be balancing two part-time jobs; my internship with RSVP Magazine as well as continue to work for Pull and Bear at the weekends. It's going to be pretty full-on, and I know I tend to let my blog posts slip when I get busy but I really want to be as consistent as possible. It's going to be a lot but I will be so proud of myself if I can manage to balance it all. At the end of the day, all of this is working towards my end goal of being a fashion journalist so the chaos will be so worth it.

It's starting to get a little cooler these days and I'm enjoying the layering opportunities. I like how the slight edge to this outfit is toned down with a dressy necklace and lady-like handbag. Also, how fab is this background pattern? Love it.

Jump

O U T F I T
Jumpsuit: Topshop,Shoes & Belt: Zara, Blazer: H&M,Bag: A-Wear

I know I know, I fell behind AGAIN on my blog posts, will I ever change? At this point it doesn't look like it; you'll just have to accept me for the lazy bi-otch that I am.

Anyway, I've had this jumpsuit for ages and have been dying to get it on the blog. I have gotten countless wears out of it over the summer, the lightweight silk is so comfortable and it can easily transition from day to night.

These are my most recent heel purchase from Zara and I love them. I put them off for some time as I wasn't too keen on the strap of leather at the front. I had wanted lace up heels for a long time and envisioned a complete tie up lace, but after lots of pondering back and forth I chose to look over the small flaw and I'm glad I did.

The last picture is a little odd compared to the others, I just feel my posts can sometimes look so serious and usually my favourite pictures are the in-between shots that look so much more natural.

Shades Of White

Tank, Skort, CoatShoes: Zara, Bag: Pull and Bear

I love this jacket, I really love it. I loved it when I saw it online and loved it even more when I found it in-store and I think I'm going to continue to love it for the foreseeable future. It's perfect for the transitional weather we're experiencing at the moment and I can't wait for the layering opportunities in the future.

I have noticed that almost everything I am purchasing lately is some shade of white, not the most practical but I'm enjoying the faze. I know this skort is so completely over-done and everyone is wearing them, it was almost reason enough for me to pass when I saw that it had finally come back in stock online, but in the end I decided to go for it. I don't regret it either because it's such a summer staple and it has so many styling opportunities. I'm excited to wear it dressed down with layers and a pair of converse.

Old Faithful

O U T F I T
Tank, Shoes & Bag: Zara, Blazer: Topshop, Pants: River Island

Whenever I'm in a hurry or struggling to find an outfit to wear for a night out, I turn to my old faithful ensemble of leather pants, loose top, blazer, and heels. Not the most fashion forward outfit but everyone needs a failsafe ensemble that they feel good in for the desperate moments of not having anything to wear.  To spice it up a little I added my favourite little white bag.

These shoes are my latest heel purchase from Zara and I have been wearing them at every opportunity since. They're refreshingly comfortable in comparison to my other heels of similar style.

Just Purchased - Sale

Top: Topshop, Bag: Zara.

I have been searching for a great red bag forever, I was always so envious when I saw a blog post with a fab red bag and now I have this baby on its way to me. I was so excited when I took a look through my old Topshop 'saved for later' items and found this pearl peplum top for 60% off. Yay!

There is nothing I love more than finding a fashion bargain. Over the years I have learned to restrain my sale spending, after too many impulse purchases I was left with a lot of items that don't nearly get their cost per wear.

Remember - a bargain is only a bargain if you love it!

Blue Swede Sandals

O U T F I T
Tank: Asos, Jeans & Sandals: Zara, Bag: A-Wear, Necklace: Topshop, Watch: Fossil.

I have been absent from the blog for far more longer than I'm comfortable with. When other aspects of my life get hectic, it's so hard to find time for my precious blog. But I can't let it go that long again, I miss it too much!

I was running around the other day and just wanted to be comfortable so I went for my gorge new Zara sandals and a simple tank. I'm shocked that I haven't blogged this bag before. I was on the hunt for a great black satchel for ages and almost bought an expensive one from Topshop that I didn't even really love, but then I saw a woman wearing this beauty and had to ask where she got it. I was so surprised when she said A-Wear it looks so expensive and has the same great chevron detailing on the back too.

I'll be back soon, thanks for reading.

New Day

O U T F I T
Tank: Asos, Skirt: TNFC at Asos, Blazer: H&M, Bag & Shoes: Zara, Necklace: Topshop.

This is my first post since I upgraded my blog photos with my new Lumix GF5. I couldn't be happier with my latest purchase and it has definitely been a long time coming. My iPhone camera skills were sufficient in the beginning but I began to crave more from my outfit posts, and was ready trade in the grainy results.

I chose this particular model because it is known to be 'beginner friendly'. I'm not proud to say that I am certainly a beginner, seen as I have studied Journalism for three years and have had countless photography classes; I'm now kicking myself that I didn't pay more attention. Oh well, maybe now that I have a real interest I can learn more myself.

I adore this outfit, I have been keeping an eye out for a flared skirt like this ever since I stumbled upon this gorge Miu Miu on Pinterest that was way out of my price range. I just about died when I found an almost identical one on Asos shortly after. Speaking of bargains I was so excited when I purchased this Zara bag, it's so pretty my heart can barely stand it. Soon after I noticed a very similar Alexander Wang version, am I on a role or what?

You probably can't tell how in love I am with this outfit by my very grumpy face. I was concentrating so hard on the new camera that I totally forgot to smile! What can I say, I am a rooky.

The Usual Suspects

O U T F I T
Jumper & Necklace : Topshop, Waistcoat & Shoes: Zara, Pants & Bag: River Island, Watch: Fossil

Once again I am behind on my blog posts but this time I really do have a genuine reason, College work. You can't be mad at me for wanting to do College work, right? Anyway here are my usual suspects, Topshop, River Island, and Zara. Predicable, guilty but you can never accuse me of not being loyal.

This Zara waistcoat is my latest purchase and I'm head over heels in love. So versatile and it will be perfect once in starts heating up (here's hoping) and replace my usual blazers.

I got this bag a long time ago in a sale and broke it on my first outing. Oh well, still useful for blogs, when I don't have to actually use the handle.

Same Same But Different

O U T F I T
Top & Jacket: Warehouse, Jeans & Bag: River Island, Shoes: Zara

This post is along the same lines as my last post but yet, different. It's also a kind of family slogan as my Australian family and I have matching t-shirts with the saying.

I saw a few cool kids around Bloglovin' wearing their jackets hung over their shoulders like this so thought I would give it a go. I suppose it looks kinda' cool for pictures but it's obviously totally impractical if you plan on moving your arms in any way.

I'm in love with this cool tee I got from Warehouse, a perfect little black tee but then it has this amazing pleating on the back. It's still a little short for me at the front but nothing a little tank won't fix.

My shoes are of course the gorgeous puppies that I was coveting in a previous post and they are everything I had hoped for and more.

My bag was a Christmas pressie from my gorgeous sister who I know has been waiting to see it on here, so here you go.

I thought the last picture was funny, it was a tad bit windy to say the least.

Megan.
